How to make ChatGPT write emails that sound like you, not a robot

Show it three of your real emails, and it drafts in your voice, not a robot's.

The video lands soon. The complete lesson is already below, so you can start now and watch when it goes up.

When you ask for an email with one sentence, ChatGPT has nothing to work with. It does not know if you are formal or blunt, warm or brief, so it plays it safe, and safe sounds like a customer-service robot from 2009.

The fix is not a magic phrase. The fix is showing it how you actually write, and you already have the training material sitting in your sent folder.

The prompts, free

The full prompts from this lesson, free:

01 · Style study

These are three emails I wrote. Study how I write: my greeting, my sign-off, sentence length, how direct I am, the words I use and never use. Describe my style back to me in a short list.

02 · The interview

Using my style, help me write an email about [situation]. Before you draft anything, ask me any questions you need. Then write it in my voice.

03 · Make it permanent

Summarize my writing style in a short paragraph I can save.

Then paste it into Settings > Personalization > Custom Instructions.
